New teardown project

TDA is pleased to announce the completion of a major teardown project involving a Boeing 777-200ER, manufacturer serial number 32857 (line number 424), formerly operated by Alitalia.

Built in 2002, this aircraft was disassembled at Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) under the supervision of our teardown specialists. The project was executed in close collaboration with local partners to ensure full traceability, safety, and environmental compliance throughout the process.

Teardown process

Following the teardown, the majority of the removed components have been transported to our UK facility, where they are currently being inspected, tagged, and routed for repair or overhaul at accredited MRO facilities. Once processed, these high-quality 777-series parts will be made available to support operators and maintenance providers worldwide.

This teardown further strengthens TDA’s wide-body component portfolio, expanding our support capabilities for GE90-94B powered Boeing 777 aircraft and reinforcing our commitment to maintaining a sustainable, circular parts supply chain.
