Lijnden, The Netherlands, [08/09/2025] | TDA (Touchdown Aviation B.V.) is proud to announce the signing of a General Terms Agreement (GTA) for Purchasing and Exchange with MRO Japan Co., Ltd. (MJP), Japan’s first dedicated aircraft maintenance company.
The GTA establishes a streamlined framework for the efficient exchange and sourcing of high-quality, fully traceable aircraft components. This enables MRO Japan to further expand its service capabilities, particularly in support of end-of-lease (EOL) return maintenance and passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversion
Established in 2015 and based at Naha Airport in Okinawa, supported by investments from various companies, including local businesses within Okinawa Prefecture, MRO Japan has experienced remarkable growth and expansion and is a core player in the Okinawa Aviation Industry Cluster. With approvals for JCAB‘s type certification for Airbus A320series, Boeing B767, B777, B787, B747-8F, ATR-42/72, and De-Haviland DHC-8-400 aircraft, and have been awarded the type certification from EASA for the A320/321, MRO Japan provides Line and Heavy maintenance, Technical assistance, AOG recovery, and Special livery painting. Furthermore, MRO Japan has started new businesses such as End of lease aircraft maintenance and Airbus A320/321 freighter conversion.
