New teardown project
TDA has recently acquired an Airbus A320-200 for teardown.
MSN 3448, formerly operated by Air India Express, is a 2008 built A320-216 with CFM56-5B Engines.
The teardown takes place in Wales, UK.
Teardown process
Following the teardown, a large share of the recovered material has been delivered directly to maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) providers, with the remaining inventory strategically distributed throughout TDA’s warehouse network in Europe and North America. This distribution strategy improves product availability, shortens delivery times, and allows us to respond more efficiently to customer requirements across major aviation markets.
The aircraft is being dismantled by ecube in Wales, a globally recognized specialist in aircraft storage, disassembly, and sustainable recycling. This latest project adds to the long-standing partnership between TDA and ecube, highlighting another successful collaboration built on shared expertise and proven results.
With this acquisition, TDA further enhances its inventory of narrow-body aircraft components, reinforcing our ability to support Airbus A320-family operators with reliable, high-quality material.
As the market for Airbus A320-family components continues to expand, TDA remains focused on growing and strengthening its inventory. Over the coming months, we will continue investing in additional A320 assets to increase stock availability and further enhance our range of serviceable parts and high-demand components. Several acquisitions are already underway, with more announcements to follow in the near future.
